Abstract
This research is motivated by the lack of understanding of students when studying and attracting the attention of dyslexic students, they have difficulty understanding in recognizing letters and remembering symbols also still having difficulty in reading. Currently, the learning media used are learning videos and games to sharpen the brain, using simple media. This study aims to create a learning media that is used to help learn letter recognition for dyslexic children in the form of android. The research uses the development method and the RnD (Research and Development) development model. This media was tested individually to obtain a response from the user, the first was tested on 2 lecturers from Information Engineering Education and 1 lecturer from Psychology at Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta, the average coefficient V of media experts was 0.91 which was declared valid. The results of the media expert reliability test obtained a value of 0.905 and declared perfect reliability. Meanwhile, it was tested on 3 teachers from SLB C Section for Tunagrahita Kerten Surakarta and 2 teachers from MI Muhammadiyah PK Kartasura to get an average value of coefficient V for material experts of 0.80 which was declared valid. The results of the material expert reliability test obtained a value of 0.917 and declared perfect reliability. The results of the interpretation test of the percentage of tests carried out on 10 respondents / dyslexic children obtained a percentage value of 78% which was included in the "excellent" category.
