Abstract
The purpose of this research is to find out how the practice of buying and selling gold with a trade-in system at the three-star gold shop Pamotan Market, Rembang Regency and to find out a review of Islamic law on the practice of buying and selling gold with a trade-in system at the three-star gold shop Pamotan Market, Rembang Regency. The research method used is a qualitative method using a case study approach. Sources of data used are primary and secondary data. Primary data was obtained from interviews with gold shop owners and consumers who transacted at the shop and secondary data obtained from previous research that previous existing references. The results of the study indicate that the practice of exchanging gold in the three-star gold shop of Pamotan market is the same as in general, where in practice the buyer exchanges his old gold with his new gold without giving any money from the sale of the old gold first, after the old gold is weighed, it is estimated. the price, then the buyer immediately chooses the desired new gold, then the buyer only pays the difference in price from the sale of old gold with the price of new gold. It is related to the Islamic law review that the practice of trading in gold with a trade-in system that occurs at a three-star gold shop is not in accordance with Islamic law, because the trade-in for usury goods must be balanced or commensurate.
