Abstract
This study aims to describe the socio-emotional development of children whose parents have left them, to describe the parenting pattern of children whose parents have left MIM Bulurejo, Baturetno District, Wonogiri Regency. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study research strategy. The subjects in this study were children whose parents left MIM Bulurejo, Giriwoyo District, Wonogiri Regency. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation and documentation. The analysis technique includes data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. For the validity of the data using triangulation.The results of this study indicate that 1). The characteristics of the social-emotional development of elementary school-aged children whose parents left MIM Bulurejo, Baturetno sub-district, Wonogiri Regency, are children who show a quiet, inferior, independent attitude, but also have a closed nature. . 2). The forms of parenting used for elementary school-aged children whose parents have left their homes are permissive parenting, authoritarian and democratic patterns.
