Changes in weather conditions (dry weather and unpredictable rainy weather) will affect work activities and effectiveness, for example, drying clothes. Some households are concerned with the drying process, especially in the laundry service business. often using a clothes dryer will cause a waste of electrical energy used, especially for laundry services. The way to overcome this problem is to make a tool, namely an automatic roof, so it doesn’t have to be difficult to lift the clothesline if it suddenly rains or when you are outside house because it uses a rain sensor. The author has made a prototype of an Arduino-based automatic roof which intends to help the community in drying clothes automatically. This tool will read the water attached to the rain sensor. The sensor will respond to the fall of water and then the sensor results will be sent to Arduino. The results are sent to Arduino and then processed by the microcontroller, the roof will automatically be covered by the servo motor drive. The author also measures Voltage, Current and Power generated by this prototype using a multimeter and sensors. Current. The results obtained from this prototype measurement using a rain sensor, namely Voltage 5V, Current 190 mA and power 950 mW. Then the condition of moving to close obtained a voltage of 4.7V, current of 447 mA and power of 2109 mW.
