Abstract

The use of learning media emphasizes process skills and active learning where the role of learning media is very important. This is not only for the teacher but also to strengthen the material given to students. This study aimed to 1) Developing Instructional media products for drought disaster mitigation, 2) Determining the feasibility of animation video media for drought disaster mitigation for students. This study used an instructional media development model (Research and Development / RnD) by using a 4D development which was modified by the researcher into a 3D model. The development procedure in this study was obtained by product development and product testing. Data collection techniques using questionnaires through Google Forms. The data analysis used in this research is quantitative descriptive analysis. 1) The product of this research produces animated video instructional media with a material scope the mechanism of drought, the influence of El-Ninno and La-Ninna, the impact of disasters and forms of drought disaster mitigation, 2) The animated video instructional media developed at SMA Negeri 1 Bayat has been assessed by material experts as 4.1 which is included in the “Eligible” category, and then the media expert assessment is 4 which is included in the "Decent" category, the feasibility of the media obtained from students and teachers as respondents gets 36 respondents, with an average score of 4.5 students, and the average value of teachers get equal to 3.6. The average value of teachers and students is 4 which is included in the "Eligible" category.
