Abstract
In carrying out learning, teachers are required to deliver learning creatively and innovatively. It is intended that students are not bored with the learning material delivered by the teacher. In a learning process, the selection of learning models can affect student learning outcomes. The problem faced in learning Mathematics at SD Negeri 1 Sawahan is the weakness of the learning system implemented in the teaching and learning process in terms of exploring the potential of students. The learning methods and models applied to learning Mathematics are still monotonous and less varied, mostly using the lecture method and giving assignments, in this case the Mathematics teacher explains in general on the blackboard then at the end of the lesson he is given assignments and collected and checked by the teacher. The methods and models used by the teacher are actually good, but a method that is carried out continuously and monotonously will give an unfavorable response to students such as boredom, sleepiness and students who are not conducive in class such as going in and out of class and affecting student learning outcomes, especially learning mathematics. For this reason, further research was carried out on the snowball throwing learning model and the articulation learning model in measuring mathematics learning outcomes for students of SD Negeri 1 Sawahan class v. The objectives of this study are: 1) To compare the difference between the average pretest and posttest results of students after the application of the snowball throwing learning model. 2) To compare the difference between the average pretest and posttest results of students after the articulation learning model was applied. 3) To compare the difference between the average posttest results of students after the application of the snowball throwing learning model with the articulation learning model. This study uses a quantitative approach and uses a quasi-experimental research design and data analysis with comparative data. Data collection techniques in the form of tests and documentation, then using the statistical test Paired Sample T-Test and Pooled Variance T-Test, with the results of tcount > ttable (-11,274 > 2,069), then Ho is rejected; 2) The result of tcount > ttable (-12,629 > 2,069), then Ho is rejected; 3) The results of tcount < ttable (0.097 < 2.069), then Ho is accepted. Conclusions in this study: 1) There is a difference between the average pretest and posttest results of students after the application of the snowball throwing learning model. 2) There is a difference between the students' pretest and posttest results after the articulation learning model is applied. 3) There is no difference between the average posttest results of students after the application of the snowball throwing learning model with the articulation learning model on the mathematics learning outcomes of fifth grade students of SD Negeri 1 Sawahan.
