Abstract

This study aims to describe the management of Karangjahe Beach as a tourist attraction in Rembang Regency and to describe the implementation of education for the Punjulharjo village community in developing Karangjahe Beach tourism objects visited by tourists. The type of research used is qualitative with a descriptive approach. The research subject is tourism object manager, tourist attraction visitor, pujulharjo village community. The research object is the management of Karangjahe beach tourism object and the implementation of education for the community. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews, observation, and documentation. To ensure the validity of the data, the researchers used triangulation. The data analysis technique uses data collection, data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing or verification. The results of this study indicate that 1) the management of tourism objects is managed by the Punjulharjo village community for community empowerment. In order for tourism objects to develop properly, namely by developing the natural potential possessed by an area through tourism which has a high selling value so that it can compete with other regions. 2) the implementation of education that has been given to the Punjulharjo village community around the Karangjahe Beach tourist attraction has an impact on their income. The education provided to the surrounding community is environmental education, environmental education in question is in the form of providing awareness of the surrounding environment by one way of always maintaining cleanliness as clean beach tourism becomes a tourist attraction to be visited again and has an impact on the welfare of the income of the surrounding village community.
