Abstract

The implementation of a music concert cannot be separated from the use of musical instruments and a sound system to make the concert lively and interesting. The agreement used in the use of musical instruments and sound systems is a rental agreement. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to determine the agreement process in the rental of musical instruments and sound systems, regulations and rights and obligations of the parties as well as the legal responsibilities of the parties if there are problems in terms of implementation. The type of research used in this research is descriptive research, which explains systematically and thoroughly about legal responsibility for the rental of musical instruments and sound systems. The approach method used in this research is the normative method, because in this study what will be examined are legal principles, legal principles regarding lease agreements. The results show that the rental agreement for musical instruments and sound system KING SOUND Ponorogo uses a standard agreement. The process begins with the selection of packages, filling in administrative requirements and an advance payment of 50 percent of the total cost calculated from multiplying the number of participants with the selected package. After an agreement occurs, a legal relationship arises which gives birth to rights and obligations. The right of KING SOUND Ponorogo as the party who rents out is to get rental payments, while the right of the tenant is to receive the rented goods for use. Then the obligation of the KING SOUND Party is to provide rental goods, namely musical instruments and sound systems in a proper condition, while the obligation of the tenant is to pay the rent as agreed at the beginning. Legal liability occurs when one of the parties makes a mistake on the basis of default as stated in Article 1243 of the Civil Code or an error on the basis of an unlawful act as stated in Article 1365 of the Civil Code.
