Abstract
Floods seem to be familiar in Indonesia, including the Mojo Jaten Highway, Karanganyar Regency. When there is heavy rain on this section, puddles often occur which damage the road structure and disrupt road users. Puddles of water are triggered by drainage channels that are less than optimal in accommodating the amount of water discharge, resulting in the occurrence of flooded water pooling towards the road. To determine the performance of the drainage channel, a hydrological analysis was calculated by calculating the design discharge for a 2 year return period using the Log Person Type III calculation method. From the calculation results obtained Qeksisting is smaller than Qplanned (Qeksisting = 1.777 m3/s < Qplanned = 2.521 m3/s) which results in the channel being less than optimal in accommodating the design discharge and it is necessary to plan for re-dimensioning the channel. Re-planning of drainage channels using U-ditch drainage of precast concrete with a concrete cover. The results of the calculation of the maximum discharge are used to plan the dimensions of the channel so that the width of the U-ditch drainage channel (B) = 1.2 m and the height of the U-ditch drainage channel (h) = 1.5 m.
