Abstract
Background : Anemia is a condition where the number of red blood cells in the body is not sufficient to meet physiological needs. Where Adolescent girls are one of the groups prone to anemia. This is because adolescent girls experience menstruation every month, menstruation has an impact on the occurrence of iron deficiency so that the prevalence of anemia in adolescent girls is high. Objective : The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between knowledge about anemia and breakfast habits with the incidence of suspected anemia in adolescent girls in Sukoharjo Regency. Design : The research design used was observational with a cross-sectional approach, on 110 young women who had met the inclusion criteria, data was collected on knowledge about anemia, breakfast habits and the incidence of suspected anemia at the sametime. Results : The results of this study are Knowledge about anemia in adolescent girls in Sukoharjo Regency with a good category of 24.5% and less by 75.5%, Breakfast habits in adolescent girls in Sukoharjo Regency with a category of breakfast habits of 45.5% and do not have the habit of eating breakfast by 54.5%, the incidence of suspected anemia in young women in Sukoharjo Regency with the category of suspected anemia is 30.9% and including the category of non-suspected anemia is 69.1%. Conclusion : The results showed that there was no relationship between knowledge about anemia and the incidence of suspected anemia in adolescent girls in Sukoharjo Regency, and there was no relationship between breakfast habits with the incidence of suspected anemia in adolescent girls in Sukoharjo Regency.
