Abstract

The background of this research is that the Principal of SD Aisyiyah Unggulan Gemolong and SD Birrul Walidain Muhammadiyah Sragen in implementing online model distance learning there are still several obstacles, such as the most dominant obstacle experienced by students, namely where the cellphone signal is constrained, difficulties in completing assignments due to cellphones. taking turns with their older siblings, students have difficulty in learning to understand the material and assignments at home due to a lack of parental guidance/supervision. The formulation of the problem is how the strategy of the principal of SD Aisyiyah Unggulan Gemolong and SD Birrul Walidain Muhammadiyah Sragen in implementing online model distance learning and what are the supporting and inhibiting factors in implementing distance learning. The purpose of this study is to describe the principal's strategy in implementing online model distance learning at SD Aisyiyah Unggulan Gemolong and SD Birrul Walidain Muhammadiyah Sragen and identify inhibiting and supporting factors in implementing online model distance learning. The research paradigm is qualitative research. The type of research is field research. The research methods are interviews, observation and documentation. The approach used in this research is the phenomenological approach. Meanwhile, the primary data source is Mr. Murdiyanto as the Principal of SD Aisyiyah Unggulan Gemolong and Mr. Annas Sayyidina as the head of SD Birrul Walidain Muhammadiyah Sragen, while the secondary data source is Documentation from Administration. The results of this study are the strategies of the principals of SD Aisyiyah Unggulan Gemolong and SD Birrul Walidain Muhammadiyah Sragen in implementing online model distance learning in the midst of the covid 19 pandemic, namely: 1) making an online learning readiness survey, 2) determining the online model of distance learning applications 3) requesting all teachers make interesting learning video materials, 4) accommodate all the wishes of parents with the concept of "three in one", 5) provide motivation and socialization to teachers, parents and students, 6) hold coordination and evaluation meetings to teachers every week through media zoom and whatsapp. The supporting factors for the implementation of distance learning at SD Aisyiyah Unggulan Gemolong and SD Birrul Walidain Muhammadiyah Sragen are: 1) young and technologically intelligent teacher human resources, 2) adequate school infrastructure, 3) quota assistance from the government, 4) guardians of students from affluent families, 5) cohesiveness of coordination between principals, teachers and parents, 6) selection of appropriate applications and easy for students to use. While the inhibiting factors are: 1) limited signal where children study at home, 2) lack of parental supervision because some parents are workers so they cannot wait, 3) there are some guardians of students who have 3 children who are all in school and get online assignments so difficulty in terms of sharing the use of HP.
