Abstract
Indonesia has watermelon rind waste of 468 tons/year. This is very unfortunate because watermelon rind contains alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, and tannins which function as inhibitors and remove dandruff on the scalp as well as to maintain healthy hair. Watermelon fruit from the cucurbitaceae family of the c.lanatus species family which has a white layer on the skin that is hard, dark green or light green with dark green streaks. The white layer on the watermelon skin has the main benefit, namely to overcome dandruff on the scalp, besides that watermelon skin also has benefits to nourish the hair. In connection with this, we want to create a new creative and innovative innovation, namely making Semangi Shampoo from a mixture of white layers of watermelon rind and basil whose main benefits are to eliminate dandruff and treat hair loss.
