Abstract

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever is a disease that is a health problem in developing countries such as Indonesia. DHF is transmitted through mosquito bites. DHF is a classic problem that will appear at the beginning of every rainy season. Dengue cases continue to grow. Synthetic larvicides have a level of danger to health. In its use, if the water exposed to the larvicide is used for gargling or brushing teeth which may be swallowed, it will cause side effects such as internal heat, stomach irritation, and even poisoning. The compounds contained in Moringa that act as larvicides are alkaloids and flavonoids. Alkaloids have the ability to act as stomach poisons and inhibit the action of cholinesterase enzymes in larvae while flavonoids as respiratory toxins.
