Abstract

Land is a certain area that is above the earth's surface, in the form of atmosphere, soil, source rock, topography, water, plants and animals, as well as the results of past and present human activities, all of which have a significant impact on land use by human. Land use itself needs to be planned and arranged in accordance with the characteristics and functions of the land, so that a safe, comfortable and productive space will be created. Kartasura District is one of the areas experiencing changes in land use. This is because the Kartasura District area has strategic location. The purpose of this study is to analyze land use change agendas in Kartasura District, Sukoharjo Regency and to find out dominant factor of land use change. The research method used is a survey, which is characterized by the use of samples in data collection. Samples were taken from part of the population based on certain considerations. Sampling using purposive sampling method. The analysis of land use change research was carried out using qualitative methods that utilize GIS technology, namely by using the overlay method between the 2010 and 2020 land use maps so that the results can be analyzed using descriptive methods. The factors that cause land use change use qualitative data analysis methods. Changes in land use from 2010 to 2020 were dominated by settlement land uses totaling 74 hectares. Gonilan Village is the village that has experienced the most changes of 23,78 hectares. The distribution pattern of changes in industrial and commercial land, fields or moor, empty land, settlements, fields and others from 2010 to 2020, namely in groups, is known through using the Nearest Neighborhood Analysis method.
