Abstract
PT. Pos Indonesia (Persero) solo office 57100 is a State-Owned Enterprise (BUMN) which is engaged in mail and goods delivery services. The amount of sorting in the processing division causes employees to experience physical fatigue which can indirectly affect the mental condition of the processing division employees, resulting in delays in the delivery of the distribution division and delivery to areas outside and in Soloraya itself. This study aims to evaluate the physical and mental workload and provide suggestions for improvement. The method used is the National Aeronautics and Space Administration Task Load Index (NASA-TLX) and pulse measurement using the Cardiovascular Load (%CVL) approach through data collection with the 10 pulse method before and after work for 6 working days. The results of the study show that the NASA-TLX calculation on the morning shift workers experiences a mental workload of 77.52 in the high category and the NASA-TLX value in the afternoon shift is 86.26 including the category of very high mental workload. Measurements using %CVL show that the physical workload felt by morning shift workers is 20% with a classification that does not occur fatigue and the value of %CVL on the afternoon shift of 29% is close to the classification that needs improvement, then from the results of statistical tests there is an influence between work shifts and work intensity on the load. mental work of processing division workers. So that the results of the research can be used as an evaluation by PT. Pos Indonesia or the Solo Central Post Office, to reduce the level of mental and physical workload felt by processing division workers.
