Abstract
This study aims to describe 1) the role of the principal in implementing guidance and counseling services at Bunderan 164 elementary school 2) the implementation of guidance and counseling services at Bunderan 164 elementary school 3) the obstacles experienced by the principal in implementing guidance and counseling services at Bunderan 164 elementary school 4 ) solutions made by the principal in dealing with obstacles when implementing guidance and counseling services at Bunderan 164 elementary school. This type of research is a qualitative research with a qualitative descriptive design. Data collection techniques used in the form of observation, interviews and documentation. The sources of this research are the principals, and teachers of Bunderan 164 elementary school. The validity of the data researchers used triangulation techniques in this qualitative study, namely triangulation of sources and methods. The results showed that the role of the head in implementing guidance and counseling services at Bunderan 164 elementary school was to provide adequate BK facilities and infrastructure, to supervise BK by guiding, nurturing, and directing teachers in the process of implementing BK services during the pandemic. The school principal also monitors BK, and overcomes BK problems by conducting online services or home visits which are carried out so that students continue to receive BK services during the pandemic.
