Abstract
This study aims to describe Society Participation in the Implementation of Siskamling and Jimpitan Activities as Social Capital for society Welfare (a case study in Blanceran District, Karanganom District, Klaten Regency). This type of research uses descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis uses an interactive model through data reduction, presentation and conclusion drawing. The validity of the data used triangulation of data sources, technical triangulation, and time triangulation. The results of the study show that: 1) Society participation in the implementation of the Jimpitan program can be said to have a fairly good level of participation. quite enthusiastic and happy to support in participating in siskamling and jimpitan activities according to the schedule that has been made; 2) Constraints faced are the lack of public awareness of the importance of security, feeling that security is the responsibility of the defense, natural factors, work and age, and negligence of society members in filling the jimpitan; and 3) Solutions to overcome obstacles in the implementation of the jimpitan program are tightening the presence of siskamling and jimpitan activities, attracting fines to members who cannot participate in activities, providing supporting facilities, rearranging schedules to reduce boredom, RW administrators as often as possible provide socialization to residents of the Blanceran hamlet so that the public is not negligent in filling out and taking jimpitan and participating in siskamling activities and other activities.
