Abstract
Wear material and batik industry is part of the textile industry. Chemical material and water are vital in the textile production process, resulting in a lot of wastewater. This research used the electrooxidation-electrocoagulation method to achieve a high efficacy sewage treatment from organic material batik wastewater. There are several variations that may be used including voltage (8, 12, 16, and 20 volts) and time for electrooxidation and electrocoagulation, which is 15 and 45 minutes. According of this research, electrooxidation and electrocoagulation are effective for wastewater treatment when BOD is reduced from 1479,9 mg/L to 101,55 mg/L and COD is reduced from 827,2 mg/L to 212,29 mg/L.
