Abstract

This study aims to describe the quality of life of drug survivors who have undergone rehabilitation in Surakarta City. This research use desciptive qualitative approach. Data collection using semi-structured interviews. The criteria for informants in this study were drug survivors aged between 30-55 years domiciled in the city of Surakarta. The number of informants in this study were 6 informants consisting of 3 drug survivors and 3 rehabilitation center managers according to the criteria set by the researcher. The results showed that the improvement in the perceived quality of life from the physical health aspect was very clearly visible with the physical condition getting fresher and fitter so that they could carry out various daily activities, the improvement in the psychological aspect was indicated by feeling better and being able to live life comfortably and happily. relaxed and always ready to face problems. Survivors can feel good social relations, do not experience problems in friendship and family relationships even though the negative stigma of society is difficult to remove. The quality of life of drug survivors has increased from the environmental aspect if drug survivors no longer feel awkward to socialize with the community, and the community can accept their situation with the various shortcomings they have. There are other aspects that support the improvement of the quality of life of drug survivors, namely aspects of thinking and spiritual patterns which are shown by the ability to think positively and have a strong belief in repentance.
