Abstract

Heavy equipment is a tool or machine that is very vital to its current existence, because the existence of this heavy equipment is enough to help human work, especially in mining and construction areas. Especially for the Bulldozzer unit, this heavy equipment is very helpful for human work, which has very various uses, because this type of heavy equipment can be used to carry, push, level, pull, and hoard several objects such as mining materials, soil materials and several other objects. To support all the performance of a bulldozer, a prime undercarriage is needed, therefore a maintenance process must be carried out on the undercarriage components, while the components of the undercarriage are idlers, track frames, track links, track rollers, carrier rollers, sprockets, recoil springs and adjusters. , Track Assembly and Track Shoe, these component components must always be in prime condition, because to support the performance of the Bulldozzer Unit itself, if the Undercarriage components are not in good condition, the Bulldozzer unit's performance will not be good, even if there is severe damage to the wrong one. one component of the Undercarriage, the Bulldozzer Unit cannot be operated. The purpose of this research is to minimize damage to the undercarriage components, how to repair and perform proper maintenance for the bulldozer unit. The damage caused by each of the undercarriage components is very diverse, such as wear sprockets, shiel leaks on the pins, and wear on the Track Shoe components, in this maintenance process the percentage of wear on the Idler, Sprocket, Track Link components is also calculated. , Carrier Rollers and Track Rollers, before determining the wear percentage of these components, measurements are taken first, after the measurements are made, the percentage of wear of these components can be calculated, after getting the results of the wear percentage of these components, then proceed to calculate the prediction of the remaining useful life of the components, as follows Then the mechanic is expected to be able to do a good maintenance process, it is also expected to be able to calculate the remaining life of the component in order to estimate the part replacement schedule for the undercarriage component.
