Abstract
Family is the first world for children, this is where a child begins to gain real control. The family is initially an informal education. In a family consisting of a father and mother who act as educators and a child as a student. Parents as the first teachers for children, especially the role of a mother in the first Madrasa for their children, the role of a mother is very important in the education of their children. During the COVID-19 pandemic, all educational institutions did not eliminate face-to-face teaching and learning activities. So that all educational activities are carried out online. During this COVID-19 pandemic, the role of parents in the continuity of children's learning is very important, parents act directly as second teachers for their children. Parents accompany and supervise the continuity of their children's learning. The objectives of this study are: (1) to determine the contribution of parents to the continuity of student learning, (2) to determine the inhibiting and supporting factors of parents in contributing to the sustainability of student learning. To achieve the above objectives, using a qualitative research approach with a descriptive qualitative research type. With self-observation techniques, and using data collection techniques, namely using observations, interviews, and retrieval of documentation.
