Abstract

Introduction: Lack of balanced nutritional consumption in adolescents can increase the risk of obesity, especially if you consume less vegetables and fruit. Vegetables and fruits are sources of fiber and balance nutritional intake, especially in adolescents. The pattern of vegetable and fruit consumption in adolescents can be influenced by several factors, including knowledge and attitude. Data from RISKESDAS shows that there is an increase in the prevalence of indonesians aged >10 years who are still lacking in eating vegetables and fruits from 93.5% in 2013 to 95.5% in 2018. Objective: This study aimed to determine the correlation between knowledge, attitudes, and consumption patterns of vegetables and fruit of students in the 11th grade of SMA NEGERI 1 TAWANGSARI. Research Methodology: This research was observational with cross sectional design. The sample number of 94 teenage students of SMAN 1 Tawangsari was taken by Simple Random Sampling. Interviews were conducted to 94 respondents online, with knowledge questionnaires, and attitudes, and FFQ to find out their consumption patterns. The statistical tests used were Product Moment Correlation and Spearman Rank. Results: The level of knowledge of students who were in the good category was 97.9%.Attitudes towards vegetable and fruit students who fell into the good category were 91.5%.The pattern of vegetable and fruit consumption of students who were in the good category was 48.9%.There was a significant correlation between knowledge and student consumption patterns (p = 0.001).There was a significant correlation between attitudes and student consumption patterns (p = 0.001). Conclusion: There was a correlation between knowledge and student consumption patterns. There was a correlation between attitudes and student consumption patterns.
