Abstract

In Indonesia, the growing development of Islamic education is marked by the existence of various educational institutions in stages, starting from the very simple to the modern stage. The existence of Islamic boarding schools from all aspects of lifeand struggle has a strategic value in fostering quality human beings in faith, knowledge and charity. The increasing number of Islamic education, especially Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia because the majority of the community is Muslim, there are still problems that occur in Islamic boarding schools including problems about an unhealthy environment, behavior, nutrition, and in terms of infrastructure. The purpose of this design is to be able to realize an Agro-based Islamic Boarding School with the potential for plantations in Jumapolo Village that isin accordance with Islamic rules, does not damage nature and pollutes the environment and is side by side with healthy ways of living for students while increasing creativity that can help develop existing potential. Food security or food independence is everything that comes from biological and water, both processed andunprocessed, which is designated as food and drink for human consumption, including food additives, food raw materials, and other materials used in the preparation process. , processing and or manufacture of food or beverages. According to the Regional Spatial Plan, Jumapolo is a PPL area that has a strategic agropolitan area. Article 49 paragraph (4) letter a states that it is allowed to develop government services, educational facilities, agriculture, tourism, plantations. Jumapolo Village is located in Jumapolo District, Karanganyar Regency. The population in Jumapolo District in 2016 was 35,492 people, consisting of 17,859 men and 17,570 women, the education data in Jumapolo itself is still very minimal. With these problems and data, we will design an Agro-based Islamic Boarding School based on food independence which is very suitable to teach independence for the long term.
