Abstract
This research is entitled "Analysis of Factors Affecting Productivity of Employment Absorption in the province of the Special Region of Yogyakarta in 2014-2019". The main objective of this study is to determine the effect of each independent variable, namely the Regency/City Minimum Wage (UMK), Unemployment Rate, Human Development Index (IPM), and Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) on the dependent variable, namely employment absorption. This study uses CEM panel data regression analysis (common effect model). The data used was issued by the official website of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of the Special Region of Yogyakarta and the DIY Manpower Office. The results of the study demonstrate that the Regency/City Minimum Wage has a positive and significant effect on employment absorption. Meanwhile, the unemployment rate does not affect employment absorption. Then the Human Development Index and GRDP have a negative and significant influence on employment absorption.
