Abstract

Shopee was first introduced in Indonesia in December 2015 under the auspices of PT Shopee International Indonesia. Shopee also launched various programs to attract consumers as e-commerce is increasingly stringent in the country. Shopee is one of the kinds of online shops that used to buy and sell raffle prizes. There are various ways and laws in Islam that explain whether or not it is permissible to participate in the lucky draw on the Shopee application. According to experts participating in the sweepstakes is not allowed or Haram shaped individually and collectively. The reason is that just the same as gambling. However, there is a law that allows for the sweepstakes with certain terms and conditions. The problem in this thesis is any form of lottery in Shopee and how the Islamic law review against the lottery in Shopee. The purpose of this research is to find out the applicable law in the lottery on the app Shopee and how Islamic law is applicable in the lottery on the app Shopee. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. The Data was obtained through the interview process and the analysis of data and documents. The primary Data of this research was obtained from sources that Ustad Habibie Mulachela. The results of this study show that two forms of lottery Shopee is paid and not paid. A lottery that paid to have the chances of victory are higher. According to a review of Islamic law, Shopee is not paid legally permissible because it does not contain elements of gambling. While the lottery Shopee paid haraam because it contains the element of gambling in it by risking money to get something.
