Abstract

The purpose of this research is to see the potential of agricultural zakat and how the obstacles to the application of agricultural zakat for Muzakki in Juwiring Village, Juwiring District, Klaten Regency. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative, and the data used is divided into two data sources, namely primary data and secondary data, primary data is data obtained by researchers from the field, while the secondary data in this study were obtained from the official website of Juwiring village. The results of the study show that the application of agricultural zakat in Juwiring Village has not met the provisions of Islamic sharia when viewed from the nishab and haul. Meanwhile, the potential for the implementation of agricultural zakat in Juwiring Village is very good in terms of the income earned which has reached the level of 653 kg, the harvest yields which are generally produced by farmers mostly reach 1 ton of rice. And the thing that becomes an obstacle for the application of agricultural zakat in the village is the lack of knowledge of the farming community regarding the level and haul of zakat that will be issued by farmers.
