Abstract
One of the success factors in road construction is the availability of road construction materials that meet the technical specifications. The road construction material in question is aggregate. In Central Java, Merapi and Cepogo sands are very commonly used for road pavement mixtures. By using the Hot Rolled Sheet-wearing course mixture method as a type of flexible pavement with semi-gap aggregate graded. The research sequence uses primary data. The compaction uses Roller Slab compactor with variations of 35, 48, 64 passes. Compaction was carried out by measuring the height of the sample during 3 passes to collect workability data, then continued until the planned path. For samples with roller slab compaction it was necessary to let it sit for a few days to harden, to be coredrilled. Then.all.objects.Marshall test is performed to determine the Properties.Marshall.The results showed that the use of Merapi sand is more workable compared to sand. Cepogo. With the workability value of Pasir Merapi at 35.48.64 tracks of 101.11%, 102.75%, 103.67%, while Cepogo is 100.97%, 101.80%, 102.69%. For Marshall properties, Merapi sand is better than Cepogo sand, because Merapi sand contains volcanic ash so that it can improve the quality of the mixture. For Marshall characteristics, the stability of Merapi sand is 820.55 kg, 1158.53 kg, 1439.74 kg, flow value 2.67 mm, 2.82 mm, 3.37 mm, MQ value 308.07 kg/mm, 344, 29 kg/mm, 431.42 kg/mm, VIM 5.54%, 5.14%, 4.95%, VMA 18.47%, 18.13%, 17.96%, VFWA 70.03% , 71.78%, 72.51%. While the characteristics of Cepogo stability are 939.33 kg, 1203.50 kg, 1538.15 kg, flow 3.10 mm, 3.15 mm, 3.73 mm, MQ 303.82 kg/mm, 371.71 kg/mm , 412.14 kg/mm, VIM 4.94%, 4.68%, 4.37%, VMA 18.36%, 18.14%, 17.88%, VFWA 73.32%, 74.43% , 75.60%.
