Abstract

Legal protection for child victims of rape is the best way to uphold justice. This study aims to find out how the legal protection efforts for children as victims of the crime of rape and the implementation of legal protection for children victims of rape by the Boyolali Resort Police. The research method used is empirical juridical with descriptive research type. Data sources consist of primary data, namely the results of interviews and secondary data, namely primary and secondary legal data. Methods of collecting data with literature study and interviews were then analyzed qualitatively. The results of the study show that legal protection for child victims of the crime of rape is regulated in Law Number 35 of 2014 concerning Child Protection by involving law enforcement parties, namely the police and special child protection institutions. The implementation is that the protection of children as victims of rape by the Boyolali Resort Police is still experiencing obstacles, namely: (1) Victims who are not open in providing information and psychological disorders of victims; (2) Difficulty in finding witnesses; (3) Does not have a child investigator; (4) Facilities and Infrastructure.
