Abstract
Education cannot be separated from all aspects of life, both in terms of social, political, economic, and cultural aspects. During the Covid-19 pandemic, the teaching and learning process has changed with online learning. The existence of the education system does not always run smoothly according to the expectations of the government or the education sector. In this pandemic period, the continuity of education experiences several problems (problems or obstacles), including the role of parents in assisting children's learning processes, communities or environments that can support the learning process, insufficient economy, geographical location and internet networks that can hinder learning. The purpose of this study is to describe the problems faced during the child's learning process during the Covid-19 pandemic. To achieve the research objectives, the researchers used a qualitative research approach using descriptive research methods with the type of field research located in Sukorejo hamlet, Sembukan village, Sidoharjo, Wonogiri. In obtaining valid and complete data, it is done by means of interviews, observations, and literature studies. The data analysis in this study consisted of several stages, namely the stage of analyzing the data as well as data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study conclude that the problems that occur in the learning process during the pandemic are: 1). the role of parents or guardians in guiding children's learning, in this case parents have difficulty in developing children's learning interests, difficulties in operating gadgets (hp), 2). economic problems for the underprivileged, for people who know or guardians will feel burdened by online learning because they must meet facilities that can support the course of online learning in the form of providing gadgets (HP) or laptops, 3). and geographical location, a location that cannot reach the internet network properly because it is located in rural areas and even in the mountains so that not a few people who will use the internet feel difficulty in the network or the signal. This is also one of the obstacles faced by children and parents during online learning activities or other activities related to the internet.
