Abstract

Children are the next generation of the nation whose rights must be protected. Many laws and regulations regulate the protection of children in the development of children. Indonesia is a state of law, where a regulation must be carried out properly. A country that adheres to a democratic system, where everything that is done must be from, by and for the people. In a democracy, freedom of expression in public is highly protected. The right of children to be free to express themselves in their growth and development must also be protected. Demonstrations or demonstrations are one way of conveying opinions in public. In rallies or demonstrations, the security forces have a very crucial role. The involvement of children in rallies or demonstrations is the responsibility of parents, the community, and of course the government. In law enforcement, children who are involved in demonstrations or demonstrations use diversion. The approach of the security forces in protecting children and their rights must ensure safety, security, and the absence of violence, but many incidents in the field in securing and protecting children who are involved in demonstrations or demonstrations are actually a lot of repression by the security forces.
