Abstract
Covid-19 pandemic was become world wide problem which force changes in all sectors to reduce or cut off the virus’s spreading, include in educational form. This reason became one of research background of challanges, readiness, and educational teaching strategic on highschool grade at Kecamatan Sragen Kabupaten Sragen. The purpose of this study is (1) to analyze the learning challenges in geography subjects during the covid-19 pandemic in High School in Sragen Subdistrict, (2) to analyze the readiness of teachers of high school geography subjects in distance learning in Sragen Subdistrict, and (3) to analyze the learning strategies of teachers of high school geography subjects during distance learning in Sragen Subdistrict. This research is qualitative research with qualitative descriptive method. The subjects of the study as well as respondents to this study were geography teachers who carried out the implementation of distance learning during the covid-19 pandemic. The results of the study claimed that (1) The end of the conversation with the teachers lacked time in the distant, less intense time in communicating (2) The readiness from the teachers to prepare all the application methods as support are knowledge mastery, the abilities to operate digital media such as internet base, computerize program, and mobile application to create content of lessons, (3) For the strategy during distance education are variation utilization of social media, meeting group application, and also classroom base on internet.
