Abstract

This research aims to find out the application of the learning process of smartphone-based high school students in Dalon Village, Karanganyar Regency. This type of research is a qualitative type. Data collection techniques using observations, interviews, and document studies. The data correctness test uses triangulation of sources and methods. The data analysis technique uses ethnographic research steps put forward by Spradley with domain analysis, taxonomy, comprehension, and cultural themes. The results showed that the reality of the implementation of online learning many things that teachers find in learning, including the effectiveness of the implementation of online learning that is considered less effective, impressed in a hurry. The implementation of online learning, in students are always enthusiastic, follow the learning and do the task on time but at the end of the learning some teacher expectations are carried out. Learning activities find constraints on internal factors of punctuality of following and collecting tasks are not appropriate so teachers have difficulty in studying, teachers have difficulty in delivering materials, while factors from students are not understanding the material and the delivery time of the task is not on time. External factors come from the learning environment of students have different backgrounds, both from the profession of parents of students and from their learning environment.
