Abstract
The increasing population growth and the construction of toll roads in Sragen Regency encourage the conversion of agricultural land. Changes in agricultural land that occur in Sragen Regency have an impact on the shrinking of paddy fields and reduce rice production. Regional food security can be disrupted by the decline in rice production. The purpose of this study was to analyze changes in agricultural land from 2016 to 2020 and the relationship between changes in agricultural land and food security. The method in this study is a survey method to assess the accuracy of the classification results. The first objective of the data analysis method in this research is the classification of Sentinel-2 imagery which is carried out in a guided manner using Google Earth Engine media and the overlay process to determine changes in agricultural land. The second objective of this research is to calculate quantitative data, and to use paired sample t-test statistical calculations to analyze the relationship between land change and regional food security. The first result in this study, presents spatial information on changes in agricultural land per year and the area of land change in Sragen Regency, within 5 years there has been a conversion of agricultural land of 4489.42 Ha or 4.6% of the total area of Sragen Regency. The largest conversion of agricultural land occurred in 2016 with a conversion area of 1379.44 Ha or 1.4% of the area of Sragen Regency. The sub-districts that experienced the largest conversion were Mondokan District with an area of 370.67 Ha, Sumberlawang District covering an area of 341.05 Ha and Plupuh District covering an area of 340.20 Ha. The second result in this study is a test of the average food security before and after the occurrence of land conversion, with a significance value of 0.000, it can be concluded that there is a difference in the average value of food security before and after the conversion of agricultural land and the correlation value of the test results per year shows the value 1,000, which means that there is a very strong relationship between the food security of the population before and after the conversion of agricultural land. The results of the analysis illustrate that the conversion of agricultural land can have a significant effect on the level of food security of the population in Sragen Regency.
