Abstract

Foreign Direct Investment is one of the main sources of capital for developing countries, especially Indonesia, to achieve the goal of economic growth. This study aims to analyze and identify the determinants of FDI inflow in Indonesia using Ordinary Least Square (OLS) regression analysis. The results showed that the GDP per capita and incentive tax variables had an effect on FDI inflows in Indonesia, while the exchange rate, rate, inflation, net exports, terms of trade, and the global financial crisis had no effect on FDI inflows in Indonesia in 1995-2019. The value of the coefficient of determination (R²) is 0.9764. That is, 97.64% of the variables of Investment Direct Foreign (FDI) can be explained by the variables of GDP per capita, exchange rate, inflation, bureaucracy, net exports, terms of trade, tax incentives and the global financial crisis. The rest, 2.46%, is influenced by other variables or factors that are not included in the estimated model.
