Abstract
This study aims to describe: 1) the implementation of environmental care character education through the Adiwiyata program at SD Muhammadiyah 1 Ketelan Surakarta during the online learning period. 2) Obstacles faced in implementing environmental care character education through the Adiwiyata program at SD Muhammadiyah 1 Ketelan Surakarta during the online learning period. In this study, researchers used descriptive qualitative methods. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. Data validity was obtained through source triangulation and technical triangulation. The results of the research that have been carried out show that: 1) the implementation of environmental care character education through the Adiwiyata program in elementary schools during the online learning period is carried out through programs based on four components, namely environmentally sound school policies, environmental-based curriculum implementation, participatory-based activities, and management of environmentally friendly supporting facilities. 2) Obstacles faced in implementing environmental care character education during online learning are changes in methods and media that are too sudden, unstable internet signals, student companions who are not all proficient in running the internet, and teachers cannot supervise students optimally.
