Abstract

Schizophrenia is a disorder that occurs in the neurotransmitters of the brain that causes sufferers to experience disturbances in attitude, speech, uncontrolled thinking that affect the sufferer's life. In schizophrenia there are 2 signs of symptoms, namely signs of positive symptoms and signs of negative symptoms. Signs of negative symptoms include blunted affect, withdrawal, social withdrawal, stereotyped thinking. Meanwhile, positive signs include hallucinations, delusions, impaired self-concept. The therapeutic method that can be given to Schizophrenia patients is the Alliance's therapeutic administration. Therapeutic Alliance is a therapeutic relationship which includes therapeutic communication between nurses and patients. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the therapeutic alliance on the nurse-patient relationship and positive signs of schizophrenia patients. This research is a quantitative research with a quasi-experimental research design and one group pretest-posttest method. A sample of 24 schizophrenic patients was taken using a non-probability sampling technique.
