Abstract

Education is important in developing the knowledge and character of students. The educational success of educators and books. However, character values ​​are mixed in the material, the problem is that educators have not been able to sort out whether in the material and questions there are character values. The 2013 curriculum book does not only contain competence but contains character. This study aims: 1) To describe the values ​​of character education for students in grade 1 my theme curriculum 2013. Documentation data collection method. Analyzed by unitizing, sampling, recording, reducing, inferring, and narrating content analysis. The validity of the data with validity and reliability. The results of the research are: 1) It shows that from 18 found 12 characters in the material: 1) Religious; 2) Tolerance; 3) Discipline; 4) Hard Work; 5) Creative; 6) National Spirit; 7) Love for the Motherland; 8) Communicative; 9) Peaceful Love; 10) Likes to Read; 11) Care for the Environment; 12) Social Care. There are six characters that have not been found in the books of grade 1 students with the theme Myself, namely the characters of Honest, Independent, Democratic, Curiosity, Appreciating Achievement, Responsibility. 2) Shows from 18 values ​​of 12 characters in practice questions: 1) Religious; 2) Honest; 3)Tolerance; 4) Discipline; 5) Hard Work; 6) Creative; 7) Independent; 8) Democratic; 9) Curiosity; 10) Rewarding Achievements; 11) Communicative; 12) Care for the Environment. There are six characters that have not been found in the books of grade 1 students with the theme Myself, namely the character of the Spirit of Nationality, Love of the Homeland, Love of Peace, Love of Reading, Social Care, Responsibility.
