Abstract

Al-Qur'an Education Park is an Islamic educational and teaching institution outside of school or can also be referred to as non-formal education for children, which educates students to be able to read the Qur'an properly and correctly in accordance with the science of recitation as the main target. Al-Qur'an education is education outside of school that functions as a teacher of the basics of worship in Islam, because it is natural. The participants are generally intended for kindergarten age children, but in practice, children of elementary or junior high school age are often found and sometimes even high school students who want to learn to read the Qur'an fluently. The purpose of this thesis research is to describe the role of TPQ in improving the quality of reading the Qur'an in pre-teens at TPQ Al Huda. The researcher used this type of field research with a qualitative approach. Collecting data using interview, observation, and documentation methods. While the data analysis method used is descriptive analysis. The results of the discussion show that the role of TPQ in improving the quality of pre-adolescent Qur'an reading skills at TPQ Al Huda is very important because with the movement of TPQ management in organizing and directing effective and efficient Al-Qur'an learning activities, in addition to the existence of goals, clear vision and mission and varied methods and activities that add to improve the quality of reading the Qur'an in pre-adolescents. Constraints and obstacles faced in learning in improving the quality of reading the Qur'an in pre-adolescents at TPQ Al Huda are factored in various things, both internal and external factors. From external factors or TPQ such as an unbalanced division of labor and prioritizing personal interests over institutions. While internal factors are found in pre-teens themselves, namely about order and discipline.
