Abstract
Marketing of batik in a certain area needs to be done in order to increase batik buyers or consumers to be interested in buying batik. The purpose of this study is to describe the marketing characteristics of batik in Pilang Village, Masaran Subdistrict, Sragen Regency, describe the behavior of sellers and buyers in the marketing process of batik in Pilang Village, Masaran Subdistrict, Sragen Regency, and describe the interaction between sellers and buyers in the process. marketing of batik in Pilang Village, Masaran Subdistrict, Sragen Regency. This study uses a qualitative approach with an ethnographic research design. Data collection techniques using interview techniques, observation and documentation. The resource persons in this study consisted of four batik owners and two batik employees. The validity of the data used in this study is source triangulation and method triangulation, while data analysis techniques include determining informants, interviewing informants, making ethnographic notes, asking descriptive questions, analyzing ethnographic interviews, making domain analysis, asking structural questions, making taxonomic analysis, asking contrast questions, make component analyzes, discover cultural themes, and write an ethnography. The results showed that in the marketing process related to product, price, place and promotion. Buyer behavior is the main position that needs to be considered. Every buyer's behavior in purchasing batik products must be based on several reasons by considering the quality of batik, batik price, number of batik, and the payment process. The interaction between sellers and buyers is more likely to interact online because it makes the marketing process easier. Online interactions can include buyers who are out of town or region.
