Abstract

The Indonesian education system that has changed since the Covid-19 outbreak has caused changes in today's educational life. Responding to the learning conditions of the covid 19 pandemic, SMK Batik 2 Surakarta continues to conduct moral development to its students where this is done using the Youtube Live Streaming and Zoom Meeting platforms with recitation and study activities. This was done by SMK Batik 2 Surakarta as an effort in fostering the morals of its students. In the study, students will get grades if they are absent in the comments column then after that they do the tasks that have been submitted in the activity by collecting assignments in the Google Classroom application of each student. The reason the author conducts research at SMK Batik 2 Surakarta is because it is an Islamic batik foundation school that has a vision of becoming a training institution that produces superior human resources in the fields of business, management, informatics and tourism with character and noble character. Then the reason the researcher conducted research on morals was that there were several students of SMK Batik 2 Surakarta who clustered and swayed in the middle of the school field who were seen making a tik-tok video. This causes the loss of shame that should be owned by a teenager in education circles. Character education that has been given by schools to students does not seem to function to be moral, ethical and have noble character. Starting from the facts, it shows how important morals are to be nurtured and formed from an early age, especially at the age of teenagers. Departing from that background, the author formulates problems 1) What is the method of moral development during the covid-19 pandemic at SMK Batik 2 Surakarta? 2) What are the supporting and inhibiting factors in moral development at SMK Batik 2 Surakarta? The purpose of the research is to find out the method of moral development during the COVID-19 pandemic at SMK Batik 2 Surakarta and the supporting and inhibiting factors in moral development at SMK Batik 2 Surakarta. This type of research uses field research with a qualitative research approach. The data collection method used in this research is the method of observation, interview method, and method of documentation. Data analysis in this study is qualitative data analysis. From the results of research that has been done, it is obtained data that teachers use several methods in fostering students' morals, namely through example, discipline, habituation and attention. In carrying out the moral development, there are factors that influence it, namely the supporting factors are the quota assistance from the Ministry of Education and Culture, the role of parents and schools. Then the inhibiting factors are the lack of student learning motivation, the lack of interaction between teachers and students and unstable signals.
