Abstract
Anxiety in pregnant women can increase in the gestational age who enters the third trimester. The increasingof maternal anxiety in the third trimester is associated with the approaching period of the baby's birth. A total of 34.4% of 166 multiparous women answered that COVID-19 resulted in additional anxiety or fear compared to previous deliveries. The formulation of the following research problem is what is the level of anxiety of pregnant women before and after being given education to face childbirth during the Covid-19 period. The following research aims to educate pregnant women regarding reducing anxiety about childbirth during the COVID-19 period.To identify the characteristics of pregnant women based on anxiety factors facing childbirth during the COVID-19 period. Describes the anxiety of pregnant women before and after receiving education regarding childbirth during the COVID-19 period. As well as analyzing the anxiety of pregnant women before and after being given education about childbirth during the COVID-19 period.The results of the study reveals thatthe distribution of respondents' anxiety before being given education was 48 respondents (98.0%) who felt mild anxiety and 1 respondent (2.0%) felt moderate anxiety. Prior to the education, it was shown that all respondents experienced anxiety in facing childbirth during the COVID-19 period. The average anxiety of respondents before being given education.The distribution of respondents' anxiety after being given education about childbirth during the COVID-19 period showed that all respondents, namely 49 individuals (100%) experienced mild anxiety. The average score of the anxiety results is 21.65 with a minimum value of 20 and a maximum value of 23. The results of this distribution indicate a decrease in the respondent's level of anxiety. The results of the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test show that change the level of anxiety of pregnant womwn before and after being given education about childbirth during the COVID-19 Pandemic. This result is proven by the Negative Ranks value, which is 49, which means that there is a decrease in anxiety level scores between before and after providing education to all respondents, namely 49 people. The average decrease in anxiety levels is 25.00.
