Abstract
Pepe Watershed is one of the Upper Solo Bengawan Sub-watersheds which has the highest flood potential when compared to other watersheds. This is influenced by the presence of hydrological function disturbances. The problem of flooding in the Pepe watershed can be controlled by monitoring the discharge generated by the watershed. Monitoring is carried out by estimating the maximum amount of discharge owned during a period of 6 years of observation starting from 2015 – 2020, to obtain more detailed monitoring. This study aims to visualize the trend of maximum discharge in each Pepe Sub-watershed in 2015 – 2020, identify factors that influence the dynamics of maximum discharge and analyze the dominant factor in the flow coefficient parameter using a scoring technique. The method used in this study is quantitative, because the data processing involves a calculation. The calculations carried out in this study include the calculation of the maximum discharge and parameters using the Rational Method. The calculation of the maximum discharge is carried out to obtain the maximum amount of debit owned by each Sub-DAS for each year. Based on the data processing that has been carried out, it can be seen that the maximum discharge trend formed by each Sub-DAS for each year fluctuates with the same pattern. There was an increase in 2017, 2019 and 2020 while a decrease occurred in 2016, 2018. The factors that affect the dynamics of the maximum discharge can be classified into 2, namely dynamic and static. Dynamic factors include rainfall, rainfall intensity, vegetation and flow coefficient values, while static factors include concentration time, soil type, topography and watershed area. Based on the scoring technique that has been carried out for each sub-watershed, the dominant factor possessed by the upstream sub-watershed is topography (0.26), the middle sub-watershed is soil type (0.16) and the downstream sub-watershed is vegetation (0.11).
