Abstract

This study aims to describe 1) to describe the character planting of responsibility. 2) the obstacles encountered in planting the character of responsibility related to the completion of school assignments during online-based learning. 3) Solutions taken to overcome obstacles in planting the character of responsibility related to completing school assignments during online-based learning for children in Demakan Village, Mojolaban District, Sukoharjo Regency in 2020 This type of research is a qualitative descriptive. Sources of data in this study include parents, school-age children, teachers and the community in Demakan Village, Mojolaban District, Sukoharjo Regency. The data collection techniques of this research are observation, interview, and documentation. The data validity technique in this research is collecting data sources and data collection techniques. The data analysis technique in this study used interactive analysis. The results showed that: 1) The character of responsibility related to the completion of school assignments during online-based learning in children in Demakan Village, Mojolaban District, Sukoharjo Regency in 2020, includes: a) having a commitment to the task at hand, b) doing their schoolwork well, c) keeping promises, especially to their teachers in in terms of collecting school assignments, and d) understanding and doing what should be done. 2) Obstacles encountered include: a) decreased enthusiasm of children in doing assignments. b) negative peer influence, c) lack of motivation from parents, d) children lack self-confidence. 3) Solutions taken to overcome obstacles in instilling the character of responsibility, namely: a) providing motivation so that children learn more actively, b) giving more attention to children, c) providing role models for children to keep promises and applying educational punishments, and d) foster self-confidence in children.
