Abstract
Diabetes mellitus is a non-communicable disease with a prevalence that continues to increase every year. The high prevalence of people with diabetes mellitus cannot be separated from the complications that you have. Knowledge is an important factor in shaping a person's behavior and character in order to improve health status. The purpose of this study was to describe the level of knowledge of patients with diabetes mellitus regarding complications of Diabetes Mellitus. This research method with this type of quantitative descriptive research with the research design used is descriptive analytic with a survey approach. This research was conducted at Pajang Health Center in March 2021 – May 2021 with a population of 1,024 people with diabetes and the sample in this study was 91 respondents. The sampling technique used in this research is purposive sampling. The measuring instrument used in this study is a questionnaire. And the data analysis used with univariate analysis. The results of this study are the frequency distribution of the category of the level of knowledge about diabetes complications, the most are respondents with sufficient knowledge, namely 59 respondents (64.8%), respondents with less knowledge as many as 28 respondents (30.8%), and knowledge good as many as 4 respondents (4.4%). The conclusion of this study is that most of the knowledge levels of respondents with diabetes mellitus in the work area of the Pajang Public Health Center about diabetes complications have "enough" knowledge.
