Abstract

Anxiety or uncertainty that determines someone's difficulty in determining what to do when meeting someone they know, so that someone will try to reduce that feeling or uncertainty. This study focuses more on the uncertainty that helps new members of the PSM Al Kindi ormawa about the communication that occurs with the old members at the beginning of their communication. Researchers want to see the exact uncertainty and strategies used by new members of the old members of the Al Kindi PSM ormawa to reduce the uncertainty that entered at the beginning of the communication. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research method by collecting interview data through 5 informants who are new members of the Alkindi PSM ormawa in 2019. The results of this study indicate that to reduce the sense of uncertainty used by them is to use three theoretical strategies that apply uncertainty from Charles Berger. . 1) Active strategy, new members try to accommodate the character of the old members, the environment in the organization. 2) Passive strategy, new members do direct monitoring of the old members before starting the interaction and understand how they should be in the future. 3) Interactive strategy, where new members interact directly with old members.
