Abstract
Mangurejo is one of the hamlets in Ngesrep Village which has a high activity density due to its proximity to the airport, several schools, and its strongest character is the Mangu Market, which sells vegetables harvested by local farmers. The many potentials that exist encourage the community, especially teenagers to visit. However, there are still few public spaces that become a means to develop the potential of youth in Ngesrep Village and its surroundings, which causes teenagers to channel their turmoil in an inappropriate place. Therefore, planning and designing the Mangurejo Youth Center was carried out to accommodate various activities of youth with a sustainable architectural concept approach. The choice of this concept aims to present a youth activity center where its presence minimizes the harmful impact on the surrounding environment. In addition, the concept of sustainable architecture is also applied by presenting agricultural education facilities because the majority of the surrounding population make a living as farmers, but there are still rarely local farmers who come from young people. To achieve this goal, a planning process is needed in the form of design ideas, site concepts, space concepts, building mass concepts, building appearance concepts, sustainable architectural concepts, structural and utility concepts. In line with this, it is hoped that the planning and design of the Mangurejo Youth Center can benefit the surrounding community, especially teenagers.
