Abstract

Abstract This study aims to determine the relationship between peer social support and student anxiety The population of this study amounted to 564 subjects from students of class 2015 campus 2 Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta, while the sample is 100 people. The sampling technique used is incidental sampling by spreading the link goggle form. The data collection tools used in this study were the social support scale and the anxiety scale. . Data analysis was performed by analyzing the product moment correlation using SPSS 16.0 for windows. Based on the data analysis means there is a very significant negative relationship between peer social support and student anxiety in completing the thesis indicated by correlation coefficient r = - 0.508 with gis. 0.000 (p < 0.05). Social support in this study is relatively high, while the anxiety of the subjects in this study is relatively low. Keywords: anxiety, peer social support , student, thesis
