Abstract

Marketing strategy is very important for companies where marketing strategy can be seen as one of the bases used in compiling overall company planning. There are various marketing strategies, one of which is the marketing mix strategy. Marketing mix strategy is a collection of marketing variables that can be controlled and used by a business material to achieve marketing objectives in the target market. This study aims to describe how the marketing mix strategy of copper crafts in Cepogo Village, describe the marketing constraints faced by copper craftsmen in Cepogo Village, and describe what efforts are made by craftsmen in dealing with marketing constraints in Cepogo Village. Based on the formulation of the problem, the type of research used is qualitative with an ethnographic design. Data collection techniques used are interviews and observation. The data validity technique uses source triangulation and method triangulation. Th researd showed that the marketing mix strategy carried out by copper craftsmen was quite good. Based on the 8P marketing mix aspects (product, price, place, promotion, people, packaging, programs, and cooperation), only 2 aspects, namely programs and cooperation, have not been implemented by craftsmen. Constraints faced by craftsmen include lack of experience in human resources, rising prices of raw materials, and difficulties in exporting their own products. Efforts made by craftsmen in dealing with these problems are by providing guidance and training to human resources, increasing product prices, and having to look for prospective buyers to develop the craftsman's business. For further research, it is expected to examine more deeply the marketing mix strategy with aspects of programs and cooperation so that the research results can be better and more complete.
