Abstract
The design of Solo International Exhibition and Convention: New Normal Built-Environment (SIEXCO) is a form of effort to respond to the fact that Indonesia has a strong potential to become a market for the MICE industry. This is supported by improved economic growth, political stability and security. The design is carried out in the city of Solo which can become a new color with heritage tourism. On the other hand, with the COVID-19 pandemic, the MICE industry needs to prepare an adaptive venue against a pandemic. For this reason, a comparative study is needed to be used as a design parameter which includes MICE venue standards, studies of international MICE venue precedents, Ministry of Health Regulations, and scientific journals on architecture during the pandemic. So that the SIEXCO architectural design can be obtained which can be a safe place for MICE activities on an international scale, so that it can improve the economy and also tourist visits in Indonesia, especially Solo City.
