Abstract

Planetarium and Observatory as Educational Tourism in Tawangmangu are buildings located in Karanganyar Regency which will be used for learning places, observing space. This planetarium is also a place for creativity and education for people who want to know about outer space. The planetarium has a smart building concept with this concept meant to facilitate activities at the Planetarium and Observatory. Planetariums and Observatories have a very important role in increasing scientific progress in the field of astronomy. With the existence of a Planetarium and Observatory in Tawangmangu, it can make one of the icons that have a big role in the attraction of the community in the fatigue of their daily activities. Observation requires simulations and directions for observing celestial bodies in the night sky. Therefore, in dire need of a Planetarium and Observatory. Astronomy must be able to make various observations armed only with information and trust in the data received from objects that are very far away. The Planetarium and Observatory are not only educational but have a recreational nature where we can be creative and educative, from the presence of the planetarium and observatory buildings, they can be one of the icons that play a major role in the improvement of the tourism sector in the Solo Raya area and its surroundings and become one of the strengths special attraction for people to unwind in their daily activities.
